Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre of courting misogynist groups through his social media videos following a report by Global News.that 50 of Poilievre’s YouTube videos contained a hidden tag used by a misogynistic online movement. Tags are used in social media to allow people to find content that interests them more easily. During question period, Poilievre said once he learned about the mistake, it was quickly corrected.
“I condemned this organization, and I corrected the problem as soon as it became known to me,” he said. “I condemn all forms of misogyny, including when the prime minister fired the very first female Indigenous attorney general.”
