We chat with TheNoelDiary star justinhartley & director Charles Shyer about working with heavyweight talent like James Remar and Bonnie Bedelia in their new netflix Christmas movie:
Every year, a slew of holiday-themed movies arrive to delight and entertain audiences with heartfelt emotion and holly jolly Christmas vibes. This year, one of Netflix's original holiday offerings is The Noel Diary, directed by Charles Shyer and starring Justin Hartley .
Charles: There was a script written, based on the novel, that I was sent. I thought it had potential. It wasn't exactly the movie I would have made. And I went to Netflix and I talked to them about it. I said, "Here's what I'd do..." And I ended up doing way more than I thought I would! And they went for it! I have to say, it was a great experience, working with them. It was the best creative experience because they just supported you.
Charles, are you someone who likes to tell stories about your past and the amazing career that you've had? I guess this goes for you, too, Justin. I mean, you have generations of fans now across different shows and projects. Are you always looking forward to the next thing, or do you like being like, "Yeah, I was this and that!"
