President Cyril Ramaphosa, in his letter to the nation on Monday morning, urged South Africans to remain vigilant.
“These experiences show just how swiftly things can change when it comes to Covid-19,” Ramaphosa said. As the country moves to alert level two, many restrictions on social and economic activity have been lifted. But with this comes increased risk of transmission. Although South Africa will move to lockdown level two at midnight tonight, it is too soon to celebrate – there is always the chance of a resurgence of the Covid-19 coronavirus
