The trial continues
Jurors on a murder trial were shown footage of a dad lying by a main road in Nottingham after being stabbed. on Wednesday, August 10 2022 - one of the hottest days of the year.
More high resolution footage, shot on a passer-by's mobile phone, was also played by the prosecution. It shows Mr Davis laid down in the street whilst Laney Aikens, who is charged with assisting an offender, stands nearby, according to Detective Sergeant Parminder Ahluwalia - who talked jurors through the evidence."Aikens takes his top off and places it on Mr Davis who is on the floor," he said.
Aikens 40, of Denman Street Central, Radford, denies a single allegation of assisting an offender after he allegedly disposed of a knife by dumping it down a drain. Prosecutors believe Mr Davis was stabbed by Younis when he went to his home with a friend in order to buy drugs. They allege he was helped by Aziz and Likutu.
