Jurgen Klopp says Luis Diaz is ready to start as Liverpool publicly thanked the authorities in Colombia for engineering the safe return of the player's father after nearly a fortnight as a hostage.

Speaking ahead of the game on Thursday, Klopp said: "It looks like it is done but I am not the one for the news to be honest. It looks like Lucho is really happy thumbs up all of the time so it looks good, very, very good. "We are delighted by the news of @LuisFDiaz19's father's safe return and we thank all those involved in securing his release."
