On October 3, 2023, BigHit Music announced that Jungkook's long-anticipated solo album would be called Golden, which long-time fans will know is a descriptor that holds a special significance for the BTS member.
“Golden Closet Films” is also the name of the travel vlog series he filmed and edited a few years ago. Now, the word “golden” is taking on a whole new meaning for the star — it has gone from inspiring birthday hashtags and fanchants to officially inspiring the name for Jungkook's momentous solo debut. “Golden takes its motif from the golden moments of Jung Kook as a solo artist,” a press release about the album clarified.
