SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary Despite starting out as Jujutsu Kaisen's most highly anticipated battle, the fight against Sukuna is quickly going downhill and suggests the series may have lost what made it good in the first place. The climactic battle at Shinjuku has been raging on for quite a while with the sorcerers throwing everything they can at Sukuna.
As this tweet by X user @JJKMyaa best explains, the battle at Shinjuku is stuck in an endless cycle that fans are slowly beginning to get tired of. Every new opponent that enters the fight against Sukuna follows the same cycle wherein they make a confident entrance; the chapter highlights their abilities, they inflict minor damage on Sukuna , and a new character takes their place at the end of a cliffhanger only to follow the same pattern in the next chapter.
Jacob's Ladder is Angel/Hana's Cursed Technique which was used to unseal Gojo that Yuta copies and uses against Sukuna. Not only has this repetitive pattern slowly led to Jujutsu Kaisen's final battle losing steam, but it also signifies that the series is beginning to write itself into a corner, which could prove to be troublesome down the line. As of present, there is not one foreseeable way for the sorcerers to defeat Sukuna.
