CAPE TOWN - Western Cape Judge President, John Hlophe, has accepted a nomination for the position of Chief Justice.Judge Hlophe heads to court over suspension, possible impeachment In 2008, two Constitutional Court judges exposed how Hlophe approached them to influence a case involving former President Jacob Zuma and French arms dealer Thales.
The Judicial Services Commission was expected to meet to decide whether or not they will recommend his suspension to President Cyril Ramaphosa.
