The Juan De Fuca Skating Club was in fine form this past weekend as it snagged both a gold and silver win at the Mountain Regional Synchronized Skating Competition.
Their club managed to beat out others from across B.C. and Alberta and secure not only a gold medal in the youth “Star III” category, but also had their adult team pull through a second-place silver in the “Adult III” event. A lot of work went into the routine, with preparation on their choreography stretching back to September, Howland writes.
