EXCLUSIVE: Joe Joyce a 'tremendous warrior' says ex-training partner but boxer doesn’t match up to Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk
“I trained with Joyce for years on the GB squad [and he’s] big, strong, resilient. I’d see him shadow box and I’d go: ‘Him? He looks so ordinary!’
"But, then I see him go in the ring and [see him] just bludgeon people. He just beats them up and he’s so big and so fit and so strong. “He’s very limited in his boxing ability. Compared to Tyson Fury, he doesn’t match up at all. But in sheer drive and desire and punch power and resilience, he is the epitome of heavyweight boxing.
"You put Joyce in any era in heavyweight boxing [and] he’s up there because he’s so big and strong and hard and tough.
