Latest on the deal MEN Sport understands United are progressing in talks with Bologna over a deal for Zirkzee and are optimistic that a deal can get across the line by the end of the month. Although his release clause sits at £33m, a deal could inflate to £46m due to agents’ fees. It is thought that Bayern Munich will receive around £7m for Zirkzee due to a sell-on clause attached in his 2022 deal to Bologna. He played 17 senior games - including two Champions League outings - for the Germans before his exit.
