The Stirling Albion winger has been doing additional work at McDiarmid Park. The 22-year-old signed a short-term deal with the Binos but has been keen to continue training full-time. St Johnstone boss Craig Levein has given him the facilities to come in and top up his fitness and sharpness. The winger terminated his contract at Rangers back in September.
McPake came through the Ibrox ranks but spent most of his time there out on loan, in spells at Dundee, Morton, Harrogate, Morecambe, Tranmere and then Queen’s Park last season. The former Scotland youth cap has had training spells with Forest Green Rovers, Dunfermline and Hamilton since he left Rangers.
He decided to sign a deal with Stirling Albion last month to get back playing for the rest of the season. McPake has scored two goals in eight games for Darren Young’s League One side.
