Jonnie Irwin has been away from TV following his terminal cancer diagnosis, but returned to screens on BBC One show Escape To The Country in an episode aired earlier this week
Jonnie Irwin has shared his delight after his return to Escape To The Country pulled in a massive 1M viewers.
Sharing a picture of him and the show’s crew on location, he wrote: “Just been told about the overnight viewing figures from our show on Monday; 22% audience share, 1 million viewers and slot winner! One wrote: “It was watched by so many because you told us the amazing news that you were returning. Fab episode and great to see you back.”A third said: “Loved seeing you back on the box Jonnie. Such a natural and brill sense of humour.”
Jonnie also recently opened up about going for palliative care during an interview on Morning Live. He said it had been a “delight” and that it was not the “doom and gloom operation” that many believe it to be.
