"I also hope that the Netherlands can support the development of low-carbon technology and the conversion of power plants to renewable energy, as a follow-up to the JETP cooperation and encourage the elimination of the EU Deforestation Regulation so as not to discriminate against Indonesia's main commodities," the President explained.
During the meeting, President Jokowi and Prime Minister Rutte discussed a number of cooperation between the two countries, namely in the fields of development and economy.has agreed on the Netherlands as an ASEAN development partner, which is expected to increase ASEAN cooperation with the Netherlands," the President said.
"Although the process was not easy, it was finally agreed upon. I hope this will further advance ASEAN cooperation with the Netherlands." In addition, President Jokowi also welcomed the Netherlands investment to build a Center of Excellence in Surakarta City, as well as the plan to hold a high-level conference on renewable energy and climate.
"I welcome the Dutch investment to build a Center of Excellence in Solo and the plan to hold a Summit on Renewable Energy and Climate," the President concluded.
