'If I'm honest, I do believe I was not brought to Kaizer Chiefs to be the head coach,' Cavin Johnson said.
Johnson, was named Amakhosi’s interim coach in October last year after the club parted ways with Molefi Ntseki. Before Ntseki’s sacking, Johnson had only been at the club for two months where he served as Head of Development.Johnson said he was shocked when Kaizer Motaung approached him.
“I did it purely on the basis that the chairman said, ‘Can you help me’ and because of my experience at Platinum Stars and AmaZulu, I said ‘ I probably can try something my chairman but I’m not promising anything’ and he said, ‘please help me’.Johnson coached a total of 22 games at Chiefs
