Opinion: John Phillips: Ron DeSantis is Ted Cruz 2.0
The thing is, Republican voters don’t have a problem with Trump’s politics, in fact they approve strongly.
As someone who writes about politics in these pages and talks about it on the radio for three hours a day, five days a week, I hear from a lot of Republican voters who aren’t shy about telling me what they like and don’t like about the former president. To the best of my recollection, I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a single email from a Republican voter complaining about Trump’s politics.
