The Honda e city car was the first all-electric model from the Japanese carmaker and its second fully electrified car is the strangely named e:Ny1.
In this instalment of John Murdoch's Drive Time, John gets behind the wheel ofall-electric Honda SUV and looks at an exciting coupe which will arrive next year from Britain's oldest active car company.
The driving range between charge is a combined 256 miles but as usual with electric vehicles this will depend on the conditions and how and where you drive it. The comfortable interior has room for four adults and has lots of class. The quality of materials is excellent and you get powered and heated seats as well as a heated steering wheel.The top section is dedicated to navigation functions, the bottom section is where all the climate control settings are located.
There is a driver information display behind the wheel where the speed, driving range and battery charge details are easily read. When it comes to charging the Honda e:Ny1, the 68.8kWh battery has fast-charging capabilities so can get a 10 to 80 per cent boost in 45 minutes using a DC rapid charger and CCS connector, or in six hours if plugged into a standard home wallbox.
