John Adams, Cleveland baseball’s iconic drummer, was laid to rest.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - If you went to a Cleveland baseball game in town over the last half century, chances are you know about John Adams.The 71-year-old man died Monday after a long illness.Hundreds filled the pews of The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist Saturday morning to pay their respects.
Adams racked up more than 3500 games, cheering on the team and the fans with the steady beat of his drum for nearly 50 years. After the funeral mass, dozens lined the sidewalk outside the cathedral for the procession to where Adams would be buried.
