Emmerdale fans will soon say goodbye to Matthew Wolfenden
This comes after news his character’s dad David Metcalfe, played by Matthew Wolfenden, will soon be leaving the village. This will mean a huge change for Joe-Warren Plant’s character Jacob.
Discussing the news of Matthew’s exit, the acting star said he is ‘gutted’. Joe-Warren Plant has paid tribute to his outgoing co-star.As reported by Inside Soap, he said: “I’ve learnt everything from him. I had no previous acting experience, so everything came directly from Matthew.It would appear Joe-Warren Plant, 21, is going nowhere. This will be good news for Emmerdale fans given the recent spate of exits.
The star teased that his character will soon embark on a new romance. Although, Jacob won’t be able to confide in dad David for advice. Joe-Warren Plant said: “It is going to be strange not having him around. I think he’ll have to spend more time with Leyla and get used to not having a father figure in the vicinity.“Jacob loves David to pieces and there’s a good energy between them.
