Joburg Water said while there were challenges in restoring water to Linden and Blairgowrie, the restoration was also delayed by a valve that was found to be closed.
JOHANNESBURG - Joburg Water has clarified that a closed valve at a reservoir supplying water to Blairgowrie and Linden, has not been the only contributing factor to prolonged outages in the area.
The utility held a briefing on Friday to update the public on progress made in improving water supply. It says this was established during an inspection on Tuesday, when reservoirs in both areas failed to improve."There are parts of Blairgowrie that are still having poor pressure due to air locks. We are expecting that to improve today."
Munsamy has assured residents in the affected areas, that the system will fully recover over the weekend.
