WTAM 1100 has hired a familiar voice to take over the morning time slot recently vacated by Geraldo Rivera.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Jimmy Malone, who co-hosted the morning show on WMJI Majik 105.7 for 30 years, will bring “The Jimmy Malone Show” over from Akron’s 1350 AM WARF starting April 12. The program will air weekdays from 9-10 a.m.
“I’m thrilled with the opportunity to connect with the WTAM audience,” Malone said. “WTAM is the news and information leader in the market, and it’s humbling to have the opportunity to join such a legendary radio station. I simply can’t wait to get started.” Malone has been on the air, providing his comedic take on current events since 1985 when Cleveland radio legend John Lanigan saw Malone’s standup act and invited him to be a regular on his show. Malone was promoted to morning co-host on WMJI in 1991 and stayed in that role until launching his own show on WARF.
