I think there’s some truth to that. People focus on the Oscars, and the ratings of the Oscars, but this is what’s happening to television. The Oscars are just a visible part of the iceberg. People have a lot to say about the ratings, and they read a lot into the ratings and what it means, but what I think it means is that there are a lot of options, and just by virtue of that you’ll have less people watching. Also, you don’t have to wait until the next day to find out who won anymore.
