Local influencer Jianhao Tan addresses criticisms online after American streamer IShowSpeed's first live stream in Singapore encountered multiple issues. In a YouTube video, Tan details how he acted as a tour guide for Speed, suggesting places like Gardens by the Bay and securing permission to film at Universal Studios Singapore (USS). However, restrictions on filming rides due to intellectual property and safety concerns led to frustration for Speed, ultimately resulting in him leaving USS and interacting with fans outside the park.
Jianhao Tan recommended places such as the Woodlands pasar malam and Gardens by the Bay, but IShowSpeed wanted Universal Studios Singapore .
Tan said he called the USS marketing director at 1am to seek a permit for Speed to film at the theme park and for VIP escorts, and sorted it out overnight. Speed was not allowed to take his camera on the ride due to safety issues, so Tan suggested other alternatives like those in The Lost World section.
Reacting to detractors who questioned why Tan did not inform Speed that USS was not a place to do a live stream, Tan said that he did do so.
