Jets have ‘one of the most instinctive players in the league,’ Patriots’ Bill Belichick says

The New York Jets will host the New England Patriots in Week 3 at MetLife Stadium.

“I think Mosley is really a guy who is really the key guy for them on the defense,” Belichick said. “He’s one of the best, most instinctive players in the league. Always a problem. Really hard guy to fool or to get on anything. He makes tackles on the line of scrimmage and he breaks up passes 15-20 yards downfield. Really, really good player. One of the best we’ll see all year, one of the best in the league for sure.

Mosley, 31, signed a five-year, $85 million deal with the Jets in 2019. He only played a few games in his first two seasons with New York due to injuries and opting out of the 2020 pandemic season, but had a Pro Bowl year in 2022. He had nine tackles in the Week 2 loss to Dallas and seven in the season-opener against Buffalo.MORE SPORTS:
