One of the teens arrested Wednesday morning had been arrested on stolen vehicle charges in Fort Lee just a few weeks ago, police said.
Three Jersey City teens, including one who was charged last month in a stolen vehicle, led police on a pursuit through two counties and were arrested after crashing a stolen SUV in Little Ferry early Wednesday morning, authorities said.
At 12:32 a.m. Wednesday, Secaucus Police Officers Justin Machno and Jaden Gonzalez were on patrol in the area of Meadowlands Parkway and Route 3 West when they saw a white 2014 Dodge Durango speeding. A check of the registration revealed the vehicle was reported stolen from Weehawken Tuesday, Miller said.
The three teens attempted to flee, but they were taken into custody almost immediately, Miller said, noting that one of the teens was located by the Little Ferry Police K-9 hiding behind a shed.
