Jennifer Lopez has revealed exactly what fans can expect from her forthcoming album This Is Me…Now and it sounds like a full-blown ode to her husband Ben Affleck.
A follow up to 2002’s This Is Me… Then, Lopez’s new record is set to drop in 2023 and the hit-maker confirmed it’ll cover all thingsOf This Is Me…Now, JLo shared: ‘We captured me at this moment in time when I was reunited with the love of my life and we decided we were going to be together forever.’shippers will know that lots of the songs on This Is Me… Then were actually about Affleck, 50, who Lopez, 53, was romantically involved with at the time.
Thankfully, Bennifer found their way back to one another, something Lopez described as ‘the universe coming back together’. Revealing she’ll be exploring her and her hubby’s rekindled romance on This Is Me…Now, Lopez added: ‘The whole message of the album then is, if you have, like me at times, lost hope, almost given up, don’t, because true love does exist and some things do last forever and that’s real.’
The singer also confessed to Lowe that it was tough showing her vulnerable side on the new songs, but added that she’s glad she was open and honest. JLo noted: ‘I want to put that message [of true love] out into the world and that does take a lot of vulnerability.
