Journalist and screenwriter, Jemima Goldsmith, who contributed to Netflix's The Crown, has defended the Prince and Princess Wales following nasty jokes about their relationship
Jemima Goldsmith, a journalist and screenwriter, has furiously defended Kate Middleton following "cruel" jokes about her relationship with Prince William.
Jemima, who was a contributor to the fifth season of Netflix's The Crown, took to X, formerly Twitter, to hit back at the comments being made about the couple's relationship. She wrote: "I fear that all the Kate and William “jokes” on social media and especially the Stephen Colbert material are going to seem cruel & regrettable with hindsight. It’s too easy to forget especially on Twitter that these are real people.
The conversation continued with mixed reactions from social media users, however, many applauded the journalist for defending the Prince and Princess of Wales. One wrote: "This post is very appreciated." Much to the delight of fans, Kate was spotted out for the first time on the weekend as she visited a local farm shop with William, just a short drive from their Adelaide Cottage. It was the first time William and Kate had been seen in public together since Christmas Day, due to the princess recovering from her abdominal surgery.
