JEA will be dropping to $39.87 per 1000 kilowatt hour electric consumption in June.
Compared to May, it was $41.85 kilowatt hour. In March the fuel rates were at $71.00 kilowatt hour.
Customers will see this decrease reflected in the JEA bill they receive in July 2023. JEA is expecting rates to remain stable through the end of the year.Fuel charges are “pass-through” costs based on how much JEA pays for the fuel it uses to generate electricity. When JEA’s cost of fuel goes down, we are able to pass those savings along to customers on a monthly basis.
