Pro-Trump Republicans began blasting Bolton after his voluntary offer to testify against the president during the impeachment trial and rumors he has been intentionally leaking manuscript details to the press. Bolton has repeatedly denied any part in the leaks.
The president himself has specifically targeted Bolton on social media:"For a guy who couldn't get approved for the Ambassador to the U.N. years ago, couldn't get approved for anything since, 'begged' me for a non Senate approved job, which I gave him despite many saying 'Don't do it, sir,' takes the job, mistakenly says 'Libyan Model' on T.V.
