Brown replied in the top of the second, muscling an 0-1 pitch from Berrios 414 feet to deep centre field. His fifth homer of the season came off of a 78.9 m.p.h. slurve. The A's chipped away at Toronto's lead in the sixth when Wade hit a bloop single between Espinal and Bichette to score Jace Peterson. The hit advanced Shea Langeliers to third but Berrios got out of trouble by striking out Esteury Ruiz to end the inning.
