Man Utd's midfield has been heavily criticised at the start of this season, following poor performances in their opening two games.
Former Liverpool and England centre-back Jamie Carragher has questioned whether Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has the right players for his preferred midfield system.
And for former Liverpool defender Carragher, United's midfield is the source of their early-season problems, claiming that Ten Hag has not got the right tools to deploy a midfield in the way that he wants to. "James Maddison runs off the back of him, gets away from him and is right at Manchester United's back-four."
