Chef Tobias Dorzon went from cooking fine dining cuisine in a food truck to running a million-dollar restaurant.
PUBLISHED 12:23 PM CDT Jul. 31, 2023HOUSTON — Chef Tobias Dorzon ran toward dreams of being in the NFL but found stardom cooking for some of the best athletes and entertainers.
Tobias spent time as an intern after graduation, then went to further his education at the Italian Culinary Institute in Sicily. Dorzon led kitchens in someone else’s vision for years before partnering with former Houston Rockets guard James Harden. Harden tapped him to create the menu for his restaurant, Thirteen. Tobias led the kitchen to be one of the best in Houston.
Tobias earned more notoriety as a contestant on Food Network’s “Tournament Champions,” hosted by world famous chef Guy Fieri in 2022.
