'You're Beautiful' singer James Blunt said Carrie Fisher was his 'best, best friend,' and revealed that a song he wrote about her death will appear on his new album.
"The third thing she ever said to me – was: 'Well, you're going to live with me,'" the "You're Beautiful" singer said. The singer explained he met Fisher at a restaurant in Notting Hill in 2003 with friends of the parents of director Dixie Chassay, whom he was dating at the time. "I sat beside at lunch," he explained. "I had just got a record deal and was moving to LA.
Fisher had previously discussed her friendship with Blunt with Vanity Fair in 2014. After the interviewer asked if their relationship ever became sexual, the actress responded, "I became James's therapist. So it would have been unethical to sleep with my patient."
