In walked Jalen Hurts, now the Philadephia Eagles quarterback set to compete in Super Bowl LVII. Flynn took a look at the 6-foot-3, 200-pound high school player and figured he wouldn't be able to recruit him to Grand View. The 2016 contest saw Channelview eke out a 56-53 win over the Deer, a final score that still ranks No. 1 for the highest-scoring Deer Park game in decades. The 2015 game didn't have quite the fireworks, but it was still a nail-biter as Deer Park defeated Hurts and Co. 23-22.
