Jake White can’t wait for a powerful Vodacom Bulls lineup to lock horns with Western Province and the DHL Stormers in back-to-back clashes at Cape Town Stadium.
The Bulls director of rugby has selected a matchday 23 packed with Springboks and Vodacom United Rugby Championship regulars to face WP in the Currie Cup on Saturday.
“For us, I can tell you that we’re not in a fortunate position where we can chop and change our team in the Currie Cup campaign based on the start we’ve had. And the real positive is this team has got better and better like they did last year. That’s why I’ve decided to keep this group together. White added: “It’s like playing a practice round before you get into the Masters. It’s the same pressure, it’s going to be a must-win game Currie Cup-wise, and it’s a stadium we haven’t won in a while. Like a golfer, we’ve got to use this practice round … there’s a lot of things on and off the field we want to get right.
White added: “Everyone will know that it doesn’t matter what happens this week [because] there is no guarantee that if you win this week you win next week, for any team.
