Both Liz Cruz and her 3-year-old daughter were taken to the hospital for treatment where they will have to learn how to walk again after being involved in a serious car accident with a 78-year-old drunk driver.
3-year-old Libby Ajavon revering after a drunk driver crashJACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An accident on Monument Road involving a drunk driver has left a mother and her 3-year-old daughter fighting for their recovery. The driver, who was 78 years old, escaped without injuries but was taken into custody by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office on several charges.
Liz described the aftermath of the crash, saying, “The car was spinning, and I was trying to complete a stop.” Angel Cruz, Liz’s brother and Libby’s uncle, who lives no more than 5 minutes away from the crash site, rushed to check on his sister and niece.
