The health department is implementing booster doses of the Covid-19 vaccines.
MONICAH MWANGI/ReutersThis after the SA Health Products Regulatory Authority recently approved the use of the Pfizer vaccine as a booster for the primary Pfizer two-dose series. The approval is for vaccination of people six months after the administration of the second dose .
From Friday, the national vaccination programme will provide J&J booster vaccinations to anyone who received their last dose at least two months earlier .
