Coronation Street fans are convinced Ken Barlow is 'playing' sinister cult leader Rowan Cunliffe - and will be the one to bring him down
Coronation Street enthusiasts are speculating that Ken Barlow is onto Rowan Cunliffe's game and might be the one to expose him. The character of Rowan, played by Emrhys Cooper, was introduced earlier this year as the head of a dubious 'self-help' group called The Institute. He has since ensnared Leanne Battersby , who remains unaware of his manipulative nature.
This week, Amy approached her grandfather Ken to access the funds left by her late grandmother Deirdre. Initially reluctant, Ken eventually agreed and met with Rowan, Leanne, and Amy at the Rovers Return. While still under Rowan's spell, Leanne briefed Ken on The Institute and the potential profits for members and investors in the months ahead.
