It's been a tumultuous time
The Rovers Return appears to have been saved from financial ruin but could a new landlady for Coronation Street's pub be on the cards? It's been a tough couple of weeks for Jenny Connor in the ITV soap after she was forced to admit that the pub was struggling amid the cost of living crisis.
However, despite a semi-successful pub night, Henry broke the news to Jenny that he wasn't going to buy the pub and pointed her in the direction of a property developer, suggesting the land would be more viable with flats atop it that the Rovers that has been a staple of the street for more than 60 years.
But while Jenny is safe at the helm of the Rovers on-screen, it appears behind-the-scenes Stephanie Davis wouldn't mind a stint behind the bar. The actress, who joined the soap last month as Courtney Vance, took to Instagram with a string of snaps showing her on the Rovers set. Former Hollyoaks co-star and best pal Ross Adams was among the first to respond to the post, writing: "This is giving 'Yes, cock. What can I get yer?' vibes. And I’m here for it," alongside a ride love heart. And fans were also not against the idea of Stephanie - or more so her character Courtney - working at the Rovers.
