'It Will Be A Scandal If Haaland Doesn't Win Ballon'Or'
A Premier League star claims it will be a"scandal" if Erling Haaland does not win the Ballon d'Or ahead of Lionel Messi.
A number of reports claim that Messi is expected to recieve his eighth Ballon d'Or crown on Monday night in the French capital. However, West Ham United striker Michail Antonio has argued that Haaland deserves the award after his 2022/2023 season, where he netted 52 goals and helped Manchester City win the treble."I understand Messi winning the World Cup is massive, but you can't look past a treble-winning team and what Haaland bought to that, breaking records," Antonio said on"He deserves that Ballon d'Or. If he doesn't get it then it's a scandal.
"You can't look past Messi winning his first World Cup as it's a big contributing factor, but club football-wise he's been playing in America which is very different to Haaland in the Premier League."For 14 free days, you can have access to the best from Soccer Laduma, KickOff, Daily Sun, TrueLove and Drum.
