Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow said criticism is to be expected “when you do stand for something,” noting that being open about his Christian faith is still “worth it.”
While speaking on Fox News’s One Nation on Saturday, host Brian Kilmeade compared Tebow’s bold faith to that of actor Chris Pratt, who has faced criticism for his faith."I've heard Chris share. … We're friends with some of the same people," Tebow said.
The former Heisman Trophy winner also shared about his new devotional series Mission Possible, which tackles how to navigate life’s difficult moments and"live by convictions instead of emotions." "[My mission] is a lot of things," Tebow said."No. 1, it's to encourage people that they have a mission, that they're here on purpose for a purpose. It's to encourage them that we don't have to waste it, that we get to live it out.""We know life can be hard for people, and there can be disappointing moments, but even in the disappointment, we can still choose to trust God,” he added. “We can trust God with the pain, trust him in the disappointing moments.
Tebow gained notoriety playing football at the University of Florida and then professionally for the Denver Broncos and New York Jets. He also played minor league baseball in the New York Mets organization.
