ITmovie: Pennywise is back—and more terrifying than ever
from the film, two of which are entirely original and did not come from King’s original novel. One of those scenes appears to have made its way into the trailer: the creepy carnival apparently finds Bill following a kid he worries might be in danger into a carnival funhouse in the hopes of protecting him. As one might imagine, spooky-scary things ensue.
But the freakiest fact to surface during the panel had nothing to do with special effects. Instead, it was the revelation that Skarsgård can stare ahead with one eye while rotating the other in its socket. “He can...do that!” Hader gushed. “He was born to play Pennywise.” No argument here.
