Supporters and relatives of Israelis held hostage by Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip since the Oct 7 attacks, demonstarte to demand their release 300 days since their abduction, in Tel Aviv on Aug 1, 2024, amid the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip between Israel and the Palestinian militant Hamas movement.
The war between Israel and Hamas erupted on Oct 7 after Palestinian militants attacked Israel, resulting in the deaths of 1,197 people, mostly civilians, according to an AFP tally based on Israeli official figures. "Among these hostages are two young children: Kfir Bibas, who was just nine months old when kidnapped and has now spent more of his life in captivity than out of it, and Ariel Bibas, who will mark his fifth birthday this Monday in captivity.""The deal represents the only viable path to secure their release, end the current conflict and initiate a process of healing and reconstruction in the region," it said.
