As the conflict between Israel and Hamas enters its second week, the Israeli Defense Forces prepare for a ground invasion of Gaza.
The death toll of American citizens killed in Hamas’s onslaught in Israel earlier this month has risen to 30 people, according to the State Department. With the growing death toll, the number of Americans who remained unaccounted for fell to 13 people, the State Department said. “The U.S.
government is working around the clock to determine their whereabouts and is working with the Israeli government on every aspect of the hostage crisis, including sharing intelligence and deploying experts from across the United States government to advise the Israeli government on hostage recovery efforts,” the State Department said.
