Israel faces 'horrendously difficult tactical conditions' during a ground invasion into Gaza - and the 'resulting devastation will almost certainly test international support' for Israel's actions.This is the contention made by David Kilcullen, former US military adviser and author of Out Of The Mountains: The Coming Age Of The Urban Guerrilla, in an essay for Foreign Affairs.
