Is love the best medicine for Max? New Amsterdam preview teases a blossoming relationship
) lost his wife Georgia in the wake of season 1’s cliffhanger finale, the show planted the seeds of a new romance for Max with the introduction of Alice Healy a few weeks back. Like Max, Alice is a widowed single parent with a young child, and the exclusive clip above shows those seeds of romance beginning to blossom.
As Max and Alice share a stroll through the park, Alice gets a text informing her that her friend has canceled on their plans to see a play with “impossible-to-get tickets.” An adorably awkward exchange ensues as Max shoots his shot. Elsewhere in the episode, Max races against the clock to rearrange the budget when he learns employees are going unpaid, Kapoor receives a device purported to be the future of medicine, Iggy goes against the norms to prove a diagnosis, and Bloom gets an unexpected visitor.
