Did Boston really give organizers permission to hold a 'Straight Pride' parade?

But did Boston really give organizers permission to hold this “Straight Pride” event? The event’s Facebook announcement, written by organizer Ryan Sahady, contains a map of the proposed march route and claims that the city is working with the organizers to close streets to make way for “floats” and “vehicles” on the tentative date of August 31. Per a Boston official, the group has been in touch with the city.
“We are sick and tired of being treated like second-class citizens,” Hugo told the Boston Herald of heterosexuals. On Super Happy Fun America’s website, the group asks that its supporters call the mayor to “demand an end to discrimination against straights” because they, too, “deserve a parade.”
