Iresi polytechnic tackles Internet fraud with innovation hub

In a bid to fight Internet fraud, popularly known as “Yahoo Yahoo”, the polytechnic Iresi, Osun State has concluded plans to set up innovation hub to train students and youths in the town.

He said the technological hub would be established by an indigene of the community who is a major player in fintech in conjunction with the polytechnic to fight crime, especially internet fraud. “Our believe is that if we can help channel their skill in Information and Communication Technology positively, they will impact on their environment and help in discovering talents in the future as well”, he said.
