BREAKING: An investigation is underway after reports were made of a body seen floating in the Weber River.
Deputies are searching the Weber River after reports were made that a body was seen floating in the water.
Lt. Colby Ryan with the Weber County Sheriff's Office told 2News that the agency received a call from an individual around 10 a.m. Saturday who stated that their kids witnessed a body floating in the Weber River near 1000 North 4700 West in Plain City. According to Lt. Ryan, search crews have not yet made any discoveries, but will continue searching the area until at least 2 p.m.
Members of the Weber County Sheriff's Office's Drone Team were assisting in the search, along with Search and Rescue crews and fire personnel.
