An eight-day international walking festival will bring over a thousand people from 26 nations and most U.S. states to San Antonio starting Sunday.
is headquartered in Southtown and is one of over 200 chapters in North America. The club hosts weekend walks at local parks that attract between 20 to 100 people.

The Community Walk that will kick off the festival on Sunday is open to anyone who registers and pays a $3 fee to participate in either a 5K or 10K walk. The Community Walk routemay do so online. In-person registration for certain walks during the week
Biking events will take place at the same locations as the walking routes, and swimming events will take place at the Northside Independent School District Aquatic Center.
